Artist of the Week- Love Monster

I love these collages. And can you believe that there spray paint. Street art is so popular and I love the feel of it. It's incredible how a mixture of images can create such a solid message to it's viewers. Each piece has a unique theme and message that comes from the chaos.

MAGAZINE REVIEW:

That’s the case with Love Monster, the Tokyo-born, Brooklyn-based artist’s latest show, which just opened at New York City’s Joshua Liner Gallery. Stencil art meets collage art meets anime art, with materials as layered as the pop culture references she makes.

AIKO is no stranger to the street art scene; she helped found FAILE, an artist collective that heralded in an era of wheat pasting back in the '90s. But it’s her personal work, focusing on gender, sexuality, and cultural iconography, which moved her from the sidewalks into the galleries.

Just don’t expect AIKO to tone anything down; the pieces are still bursting at the seams, with a mess of words, graphics, and colors practically spilling over. It’s a lot to take in, but don’t let the faceless Hello Kitty or mid-climax porn star scare you. Love might be a battlefield, but it sure is beautiful.

Good title. Artist of the "week" for this attempt at showing art and a blog . I could go on and on about how you should be referencing the artist to how you shouldn't not be blogging altogether but, frankly I am wasting my time telling you how horrible this blog is and how horrible that 12 year olds like yourself are aloud loose to create blogs like yours. May I suggest you stop while you are ahead. Keep what is left of dignity. The spelling mistakes and horrid attempt at the English language makes me want to go and drink the bleach under the kitchen sink. Your poor photography looks like it was taken by a blind 2 year old. I hope to God that you take this what you may call "hate mail" to heart and stop while you are ahead. You cannot believe that anyone enjoys this blog and I am positive that no one can take you seriously with garbage like this being written. Thank you.
